The elf Cosmetics Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadows featured in this post were provided for editorial consideration. All opinions are 100% my own.
When I put together yesterday’s list on six favorite beauty buys under $5, I neglected to include today’s featured product, the lovely elf Cosmetics Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadows.
Costing $4 per shadow, these liquid eyeshadows are available in six colors and have a doe foot applicator. You can apply the liquid shadows directly to your eyelids, or swipe some on the back of your hand (or makeup palette) and dab some on your eyelids with a brush or your fingers.
The colors I’m showing in this review are Liquid Gold and Brushed Copper.
I say this so often, but elf Cosmetics really is one of my favorite drugstore budget friendly beauty brands, and for good reason. Sure, there are duds that miss the mark, but by and large the quality of elf Cosmetics beauty product are excellent and envy higher priced brands.
elf Cosmetics has several different “lines” in their beauty lineup, including elf Active, elf Studio, elf Essentials and elf Aqua as you see here.
What I like about elf Cosmetics Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadows is that they really are easy to apply and blend. I use the applicator directly right on my eyelid and don’t go further than the crease. You can apply powder eyeshadow right on top. I’ve found that these liquid shadows (when applied over my favorite eyeshadow primer, of course) stay put!
For this look I used elf Cosmetics Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadow in Brushed Copper on my eyelid and then used the Wet n Wild Color Icon Quad in Flock Party on top. The inner part of my lid is just Brushed Copper and you can see how vibrantly the colors appear.
My Final Thoughts: elf Cosmetics Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadows are a great to wear as eyeshadows or even as only eyeshadow bases. They’re long wearing and don’t crease up on me.
