Back when I was a junior beauty fanatic I used to receive DHC catalogs and drooled over their skin care offerings. Remember the small packet of soap that would come with the catalogs? I loved that! Although I’ve known of DHC for years, I’d never really tried their products until recently. The beauty community consensus is that DHC makes high quality, affordable skin care produts, and so I was thrilled to try out their Deep Cleansing Oil.
The sheer concept of using an oil to clean your face seems sacrilegious, but as Painted Ladies Wendy and Monika can attest, it’s actually one of the most effective ways to make sure your skin is clean and free of makeup and the dirt that accumulates on your face after your typical day.
The ingredient list of this cleansing oil is small – literally a handful – and is mainly refined olive oil and Vitamin E, a good thing! The texture of this oil is thicker than the olive oil you buy at the grocery store.
What impresses me the most about DHC’s Cleansing Oil is that it effectively removes my makeup without having to struggle with mascara or any left over oily feeling. Unlike using grocery store-bought olive oil, I didn’t have to use a makeup remover wipe or another cleanser to get the job done. With just one cleanse, I went from this …
… to this! Don’t be too scared!
I’m totally impressed! DHC’s Deep Cleansing Oil has become a staple of my makeup removal routine, and I especially like that it gets the job done on it’s own – no other form of makeup remover required. The standard size is a bit pricey at $26, but you can also purchase smaller versions for less on DHC’s website. And let me tell you, a little bit goes a looooong way.
