Dear CoverGirl,
I hesitiate to write the following words, but you must know something. It’s not me, it’s you.
You see, I am generally a huge fan of your lash enhancing offerings. I sing your mascaras praises high and low, and have done so for many years. The original LashBlast is a grail worthy mascara and my lashes are currently enjoying LashBlast Fusion. However, when it comes to your brand new LashBlast 24 Hour Mascara … oh, boy.
The mascara is decent enough. Per usual the plastic wand lifts, separates, and thickens.
You see, the removal process is an utter pain in the *@(#!!!!!! Could you have made this mascara any more difficult to remove????!!!!
Based on this alone, I am advising the entire world to avoid CoverGirl’s LashBlast 24 Hour Mascara. Avoid like the plague.
Hoping for better things next time, I remain,
Yours truly,
Sheila Arkee

Hahaha avoid like the plague!!
May I ask what products you use to remove waterproof mascara?
Olive oil! LOL!
LMAO! Oh, there are a few times you can recommend. Funerals, weddings, childbirth, maybe even gym…any time there may be tears and/or sweat.
I totally hear you, I bought this too and it was the hardest mascara to remove ever, I lost lashes taking it off.
I disagree with you. I am an avid fan of this mascara and pray that CG does not discontinue it. I used to have to use an expensive department store brand of WP mascara, use make-up wipes and liquid remover to take it off and now I am actually saving about 75% now on my make-up. A mom who has a kid with braces and in private school, that’s a huge help! I use the same routine of removing my WP make-up as I did with the department store brand and I have no hard time at all removing the CG 24-hour Lashblast. I am ½ Hispanic and ½ Caucasian and have no curl to my lashes and had to use department store brands to get the curl to hold since they discontinued Max Factor products. I read all the negative reviews about how hard it is to remove and I figured I may as well try it because if it’s that hard to remove, it has to hold a curl and it was love at first use. I recommend anyone to try my process of removal before really giving a negative review.
I used this mascara for the first time today. The only reason I found this page is because I am desperately searching for a way to get concrete off of my lashes. I have tried absolutely everything. This mascara is the devil.
Chill out, ladies. Use baby oil, it works like a charm. I usually put it on my finger and make sure my eyelashes are coated and I wait about 10 seconds so it has a chance to “soak in”. Afterwards, I just wash my face as I normally would and whatecer is left of the mascara will come off.
I, too, came across this website trying to figure out how to remove the cement!!! This mascara is the worst mascara I’ve EVER used. I’m not usually very picky about my mascara, but after using this twice, I’ll be throwing it out. I realize it’s meant to stay on but it’s like making a commitment to this mascara! Besides not being able to remove this crap, I’ve never had such itchy eyes! It’s horrible! I did try using baby oil, olive oil, makeup remover, this stuff is there to stay, unless you don’t want all of your eyelashes. Ugh, what a waste of money.
Heck!!! I am searching the same thing on-line – how to remove this crap off my lashes!! I can’t live with it forever, it needs to be removed somehow, but how?! what did they think about?? that’s insane.
This has to be the worst mascara of all time.
Well this mascara is there to stay. The way I get it off is soaking a cotton round in olive oil/alovera water mixture (if no aloevera water thats okay) then taking the round and gently cover my entire eye with it for about 10-20 seconds. Then use the pad to wipe off any residue. Hope this helps…
