When it comes down to lip liners I have some clear cut favorites. For nude lips, MAC’s Oak pencil is the perfect light brown that will not pull orange. For darker lips, either MAC’s Current or Chesnut. For red lips, MAC’s Mahogany.

The lip liners that are my go-to, end-all, holy grails, however, are always some kind of pinky brown. The two of this variety that I reach for the most are The Body Shop’s Beech and Laura Mercier’s Chesnut.
So, discuss – what are your favorite lip liners?
I have been using Makeup Forever’s lip liner in 1C for to years. Its a great nude that works with all shades of gloss and lipstick. I like using it with Loreal Infallible gloss- the combination lasts hours.
