I have to confess. You know the NARS Ignited Eyeshadow Palette I reviewed last week? I took it back to where it belonged. Back to Ulta, because all it did was frustrate me! In place of the ill fated NARS palette, I picked up a couple of other items on my makeup wish list, which include the ColourPop Yes Please! Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette.
As I recall, the ColourPop Yes Please! Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette has been in demand and held in high graces ever since it was released a few years back. I’ve been resisting for some unknown reason and finally gave in.
I know why I was so resistant to this particular palette – it’s so full of bronze, copper, gold and brown type colors and for a long time I was resistant to such. Don’t you know things have changed and now I embrace all the bronze, copper, gold and brown type colors.
ColourPop Yes Please! is $16 for 12 shadows, and is cased in a white cardboard palette, sans mirror. White makeup packaging makes me a tad bit nervous, to be honest, because you know there’s a slim change it will stay pristine.
One thing I can say about this shadow palette is that I feel a sense of relief that there is nothing oily about any of these shadows. They’re highly pigmented and powder-based. I will also say that I compared these shadows to the Kylie Cosmetics palettes that were also at my local Ulta, and there’s no way I’d pay the insane markup on the Kylie shadows because they come from the same manufacturer. Ahem. ColourPop for the win … always.
Looks featuring the ColourPop Yes Please! Pressed Powder Eyeshadow are coming tomorrow!
