It’s a tale as old as time … a makeup loving lady sees a gorgeous warm eyeshadow palette, palette is reasonably priced and available with free shipping and before you know it that palette is signed, sealed and delivered. In this case it’s the new ColourPop x Karrueche Brown Sugar Pressed Powder Shadow Palette.
I couldn’t resist! As many warm eyeshadow palettes I (and so, so, so many other of us) possess, I’m consistently drawn to and often purchase the latest and greatest, especially when there’s a fun duochrome or some kind of glittery something involved.
ColourPop really does an excellent job with their powder eyeshadows and this palette is no exception. At $12, it’s part of a larger, second collaboration with social media star Karrueche Tran that also includes ColourPop lip products and SuperShock Shadows. Whatever Karrueche and ColourPop plan together never fails – I picked up the She Pressed Powder Palette from Karrueche’s first collaboration with ColourPop and wasn’t disappointed, either!
The ColourPop x Karrueche Brown Sugar Pressed Powder Shadow Palette has nine shadows ranging from matte to shimmery. The texture of these shadows is fantastic – they are really smooth, easy to blend and long-wearing.
Here are swatches of the shadows row by row:
For this look I used Amber in the outer corner of my eye with Choc on top and also in inner corner of my eye. Saute is in the middle of my lid and Chai is on my browbone. The look is finished with Henna as the liner on my upper and lower eyelids.
On another note, I have to say I’m so please with ColourPop’s turn around time these days. They’ve definitely made it through their growing pains and long wait times from the early years. It seems like I get my purchases within a few days rather than a couple of weeks and I appreciate that.
My Final Thoughts: ColourPop x Karrueche Brown Sugar Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is an excellent eyeshadow palette that provides high quality product at a budget friendly price.
