Dear ColourPop – thank you for being you. Don’t ever change. Love, me. The
ColourPop Just My Luck Pressed Shadow Palette dropped on the makeup scene a couple of weeks ago, and you know I had to get my hands on this $12 palette filled with 9 delightful variations of green eyeshadow.
I do love green eyeshadow and this palette is a stunner. Similar to the It’s My Pleasure palette from ColourPop, it’s housed in a plastic palette and comes with a generous mirror. From mint to olive, lime and kelly, all shades of green are represented here.
From mint to olive, lime and kelly, all shades of green are represented here. The textures of the shadows are smooth and the color payoff is, as with most ColourPop products, exceptional. Here are swatches that are done with no primer underneath.
The ColourPop Just My Luck palette does give me major flashes of the Huda Beauty Emerald Obsessions eyeshadow palette.
You can see my review the Huda Emerald Obsessions palette right here. Here are both the ColourPop and Huda Beauty palettes side by side. There are definitely similarities but definitely variations in textures and tones. And I do have to admit I like the ColourPop version better – it doesn’t hurt that it’s more than half the price of the Huda Beauty palette. The ColourPop palette is made in the USA and the Huda palette is made in China.
My Final Thoughts: You won’t be outta luck with the ColourPop Just My Luck Pressed Shadow Palette. It’s lovely!
