This California girl was entirely unable to resist the brand new ColourPop California Love Pressed Shadow Palette. Hello, you gorgeous shadow palette, you.
I was a month away from turning six when my parents moved to Northern California from Tennessee and 24 when I moved myself to Southern California. Both sides of this big state have such different vibes that all together make for an interesting and beautiful place.
California Love is part of a larger collection, but you all know I’m an eyeshadow obsessed individual, so the pressed shadow palette is all I’m interested in!
This 12 pan palette is $18 and contains a lovely array of warm toned matte and shimmer shadows.
Diego, Gnarly, Sequoia and Gold Rush
HWY 1, Laguna, El Capitan, Surfrider
Cahuenga, Mission, Crusin’, The Bay
There are a couple of textures in the second row of the set that are a bit different than anything I’ve seen from ColourPop so far. El Capitan is a chunky glitter texture that needs to be tapped into your skin. Surfrider has that silicone/oily texture that I tend to shy away from. I was surprised to see it in a ColourPop palette!
A few looks with this palette are coming up next!
