Exactly one year ago I posted the six month update of my experience with Collagen Peptides, a powder I scoop out and incorporate with my daily food intake.
When I first started using Collagen Peptides 18 months ago, my skin and hair and nails were in a STATE! My nails were peeling, my hair needed TLC and I wanted to see if I could do anything to help the overall appearance of my skin. I’d just finished a year of drinking bone broth to help with all of those issue and was ready for a less expensive alternative.
The way I consume Collagen Peptides now is different than when I first started. In the mornings I measure out two tablespoons of chia seeds, add two scoops of Collagen Peptides and a teensy bit of instant coffee. I add a bit of hot water and let the chia seeds hydrate for about an hour. Then I mix in my protein drink and go on my merry way. I started doing this because I need some OOMPH for my morning workouts and the chia seeds help get me going.
I have no plans to discontinue this routine because I truly have experienced benefits from daily use of Collagen Peptides. My nails are stronger and healthier which, to me, is the biggest benefit. My skin and hair have also reaped benefits and are in great shape these day – no complaints! This product also helps with joint health and mine are in great shape – no creaking or pain to report!
