Merry Christmas Eve, friends. Here’s to a few days of peace, love and joy from me and my family to yours. It’s been a while since I’ve done a full face of makeup and couldn’t think of a better time.
I had an interesting turn of events yesterday afternoon while on the way home from some last minute Christmas shopping. My car stopped in the middle of the road! I was towed to my mechanics and though I won’t find out what’s the problem until Wednesday, my son had an incredible time riding in the tow truck and a dear friend gave us a ride home at a moment’s notice. Both served as reminders to see the joy in everything and to cherish true friendships. I’m off to get a rental car so we can make it to Yia Yia’s house for opening presents. Hope you all have a relaxing couple of days! Now, on to the makeup look.
To create this look I used Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer in Dim Light, which I recently purchased at The Makeup Show LA. It’s gorgeous and I’ll be going more into depth about it in a future post. My foundation is Estee Lauder Double Wear in 4C3 Soft Tan. I used IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in a pot in Tan and set the look with another new favorite, Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. On my cheeks are IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Bronzer in Beach along with the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Highlight and Blush Palette.
My eyes are primed with Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer. From the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette I used Devilish in the Crease with Drunk Dial on the inner and outer corner of my lids. I used Hot Spot on the browbone. I dabbed NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk in middle of my eyelids and then placed Sydney Grace The Greatest Gift. My eyelids are lined with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Smoke on the upper lid and Scorch on the lower lid. My lashes are coated with L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Mascara. On my lips is Hourglass Lip Stylo in Achiever.
