As the weather is getting warmer and Summer is approaching, my thoughts are turning to lip products that are vibrantly colored, hydrating, and easy to throw on at a moments notice. Can we talk about tinted lip balms?
There are so many great varieties on the market right now, and my newest favorites are Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms.
Lighter in texture than both the CoverGirl Natureluxe Gloss Lip Balms and Wet n Wild tinted lip balms I recently reviewed, these balms - six colors in total – lend a pretty tint to your lips as well as a lot of moisture. I had the pleasure of trying both Hibiscus and Pink Blossom, and needless to say, they have a regular spot in my lip product rotation. They’re beautiful on their own and also as bases for lipstick.

The Burt’s Bees balms are 100% natural, have a pear flavor, are full of natural botanical flower waxes including Ylang-Ylang and Jasmine, and moisture-rich ingredient such as Shea Butter and Vitamin E. What the balms don’t include are Phthalates, Parabens, or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

I’ve been addicted to tinted lip balms lately. Any ideas why a lip product would include Sodium Laureth Sulfate? Isn’t that a detergent?
Good point – they might be trying to cover their bases, saying generally they don’t include that ingredient.
I want to try these so bad! I’ve been scouring the local CVS and grocery store displays for weeks for these, and nada! I need these, lol.
