After hearing nothing but great things about Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade amongst the beauty lovers of the Internet, I made a trip to Sephora to make this eyebrow color in Dark Brown my very own.
Let me tell you, this stuff will change your eyebrow game. Forever! (Drama intended.)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is some serious business and different than any other brow product I have ever used. The pigmentation is amazing and it’s a creamy texture that sets and is completely smudge-proof.
The texture is similar to a gel eyeliner, but smoother and more emollient. The trick I found with Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade is to use the slightest amount possible because it is really packed with pigment. I used the MAC 208 brow brush, which is compact and picks up color products quite nicely.
I tried the suggested technique of applying a straight line of the pomade to the top and bottom of my brows, but found the results were a bit … intense for my liking.
However, when I applied a straight line to just the bottom of my brows, then applied the color where it needed to be filled in, and then brushed out the color, I was really pleased with the resulting bold, yet natural looking brow.
A teensy bit of product is really all you need. To get the perfect amount of product, I dip my brush in the pomade, and then work it in my brush on the back of my hand.
What I like the most about this nifty little product is that it’s made my eyebrow routine a lot easier. For a few months I’ve been using a pencil and a powder to sculpt and fill-in my brows, and with Dipbrow it’s one-stop shopping. Here’s to great brows!
My Final Thoughts: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade has upped the ante on my eyebrow filling in technique but I won’t lie to you, there’s a bit of me that’s slightly intimidated by this product. There is a learning curve to using this product, but once you get the hang of the application, the results are oh, so divine and long-wearing.
