Before I get to a pictoral step-by-step, I have to mention what I think is the biggest debate in lash curling … do you curl before or after you put on your mascara?
Most people tend to say before … it can get a bit messy if you do it after you put on mascara. However, Kevyn Aucoin used to say you could do a light layer of mascara before curling … because there are no rules to makeup, remember?
In this breakdown I did have a light layer of mascara on, which definitely helped keep the curl!
Step One: Bring the curler to the base of your lashes and give them a light squeeze.
Count to three, and then release.
Step Two: Step the curler out to the middle of your lashes, and squeeze.
Count to three, and then release.
Step Three: Step the curler out to the ends of your lashes.
Count to three and release.
And then, sometimes I go back and lightly curl the ends of the lashes again.
Results? Here you go!
