Breaking Down Beauty: Concealer Placement

By Sheila

Here’s a handy little trick I picked up somewhere along the way. Where, I can’t exactly remember, but it’s one I’ve had up my sleeves for the past few years.

Un-concealed eye.

When applying concealer under the eyes, keep the placement contained in the little “well” area right under the eye where there is a slight discoloration and depression.

Why? Because many of us just don’t need to have concealer all around the under eye area, and in fact, placing it under the entire area might highlight places that don’t need the extra attention.

Blend, blend, blend!!!

Remember light brings forward and dark receeds. The goal is to avoid the sunken eye look!

Voila!!!

Although I generally use my ring finger to apply concealer, for this Breakdown I used MAC’s 194 brush, which is a great concealer brush that allows you to reach into tiny areas. For the concealer, I used MAC’s Studio Sculpt, which is still rocking on as my favoritest concealer of all time.

Do you have any concealer tricks to share?
