Before I get on to the subject of today’s Breakdown, one thing you need to know is this: when Painted Ladies Expert Nicole Valentine and I get together, hilarity always ensues.
Whether it’s my son trying to climb into her fish tank, or me insisting on her bleaching out the front of my hair against her warnings only to have it turn out the shade of a ripe banana (yellow with brown spots), we always end up with some kind of crazy story to tell.
Nicole came over to Painted Ladies Central (aka, my home) for makeup talk and we ended up making a series of tutorials I’ll be sharing with you over the next few days. The first is about airbrushing foundation, which something I’d never had done and had never tried before.
She brought over the Luminess Air Airbrush System, which is incredibly compact and yet delivers the full punch of a traditional compressor.
Part 1, Nicole airbrushes my face
Part 2, I airbrush Nicole’s face
I was extremely impressed by the wear of the makeup. It lasted way into the evening and survived an ambush by my 2 year old son. I could have used a dusting of powder on my t-zone, but otherwise, it remained flawless. Perfect for brides who need guaranteed coverage on their big day, and of course for anyone else who wants that finish.
Now, all I need to do is figure out what body part I can auction off on Ebay so I can buy an airbrush system AND a Mac Air Book, like Nicole’s. I love and need them in my life!!!

Do you own or have you tried airbrush makeup before?

Sheila: I just noticed that the Luminess system is on sale on Hautelook this week for 33% off!
