It’s always a thrill when my monthly Boxycharm arrives a bit early. This April 2019 Boxycharm preview is hot off the presses, and I’m not complaining!
While I’ve dabbled with other monthly subscription boxes, Boxycharm is the only one I’ve been faithful to maintain. Last month I tried out the Oui Fresh beauty box, but decided to keep it a one off purchase. At $27 for the month to month option, I wasn’t intrigued enough to keep it going.
At $21 each month, Boxycharm is an excellent value. You receive 5 full sized beauty products and the value of the box is always over $100. While there are a few products that are standard for every subscriber, each box varies.
I have to admit … as much as I love Boxycharm, I am wondering if it’s time to cut ties. I do love receiving this fun goody bag of beauty products each month, but I have given away a large percentage of what I’ve received.
I’m not apt to cancel any time soon, though. Maybe its the thrill of the find that keeps me hanging on?
The show stopper of April’s Boxycharm is the PUR Beauty Festival Palette, which is valued at $36. I do love PUR’s shadows and vibrant colors, so this was a fun find.
The shadows do have that silicone/gummy texture I was talking about with the Urban Decay x Game Of Thrones eyeshadow palette, plus two are mega glitters. As you can see, the glitter is intense! The palette actually came with a sample/blister pack of PUR’s eyeshadow primer, which was a nice thing to add.
Also in my Boxycharm was a set of three Luxie brushes ($28). I have accumulated a lot of Luxie brushes thanks to Boxycharm and they’re not bad. A couple of the Luxie brushes I use have issues with the handles breaking, but they don’t shed and are soft. I’ll keep these brushes in my gym bag.
I also received Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder ($27), Appeal Holographic Lip Gloss ($21) and Bodyography Eye Pencil ($14). The total retail value of the April 2019 Boxycharm is $126.
The Boxycharm featured in this post was purchased by me. All opinions are 100% my own.
