The Boxycharm featured in this post was purchased by me. All opinions are 100% my own.
Oh, hello, gorgeous! Yes, I did indeed say that when the Boxycharm for April 2018 arrived at Painted Ladies headquarters. ColourPop is involved in this month’s box, which is called the Eye Candy box for a good reason!
Boxycharm is my main squeeze when it comes to subscription box services. I’ve cancelled my subscriptions to all other boxes because, really, Boxycharm is a never fail.
Boxycharm has a monthly subscription fee of $21 which includes shipping. Boxes vary per customer and at the moment they’re not customizable. Boxycharm offers a discount of boxes if you purchases blocks of 3, 6 or more months in advance. I’ve always gone month-to-month which works out really well.
Before we get into the Boxycharm details, what are your thoughts on beauty subscription boxes? They’ve been around for many years and it doesn’t look like they’re slowing down. Birchbox is still going, Ipsy is still going, Sephora Play is chugging along, and Boxycharm is getting better and better by the month. They also offer special coupon codes if you want to purchase something from the brands that are included.
The reason I’ve decided to stick with Boxycharm is that you’re always guaranteed 5 full-sized products and the value is always far above the $21 purchase price. I also tend to like and use everything I receive, especially the eyeshadow palettes that are included every month. And it’s always good when makeup brushes are a part of the mix!
The Boxycharm Eye Candy box for April 2018 contained the following products:
ColourPop My Litte Pony Eyeshadow Palette ($16) – I truly adore ColourPop and was so happy to see it in this month’s shipment.
I already own this particular palette, so the one that arrived in Boxycharm is going off to a well deserved new home! This is a look I created with the palette I already have.
Tarte Tartiest Pro Glow Liquid Highlighter in Summer ($29) – I will never tire of any kind of highlighter and I’m glad to add it to my collection.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner ($47) – A mask that will vacuum the gunk out of my pores? I’m all in!
The Browgal Instatint Tinted Eyebrow Gel ($22) – I currently have this on and like that it shapes my brows and fills in the sparse areas.
Adesse Hi Definition Liquid Lipstick ($24) – I can’t find a name anywhere on the tube or box, but needless to say this glossy lipstick is a winner. I was thinking it was going to be a matte and was very pleased when it was not.
My Final Thoughts: Three cheers for another stellar Boxycharm! I’m definitely glad to keep this beauty subscription up!
