The September 2017 Boxycharm featured in this post was purchased by me. All opinions are 100% my own.
Oh hey, Boxycharm! I recently received the September 2017 Boxy Baddie Boxycharm and I have to say I’m truly proud to be one of the many Boxy Baddies! I’ve been a Boxycharm subscriber for over a year and I’m endlessly pleased with the full sized makeup products that arrive in each and every monthly Boxycharm box.
Today is a special day – it’s officially the first day of Autumn and I totally just binge watched all 9 episodes of the first part of Fuller House Season 3 on Netflix. And I’m not sorry about it! There aren’t a lot of shows I’ll binge watch, but I’ll always binge watch new episodes of Fuller House and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. What a cliff hanger for Fuller House! Candace Cameron Bure posted a bit of a spoiler on her Instagram page a couple weeks ago, so I can’t wait to see how it plays out when the next set of episodes air.
Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription service that costs $21 a month, which includes shipping fees. You receive 5-6 full-sized beauty items each month and the value is always over $100. You can pre-purchase 3, 6 or more months in advance which saves you a bit of money. There is a slight variation between boxes, but for the most part there’s no customization and everyone receives very similar products. I’ve let a few subscription services go over time, but I’ll always stick with Boxycharm simply because the value is excellent and the product quality is top notch.
Here’s a close look at the contents of the September 2017 Boxy Baddie Boxycharm box.
PUR Cosmetics Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette ($34) – I have this palette and it’s an excellent and well-pigmented mix of shimmery and satin neutral shadows. I’ll save this for a future Painted Ladies giveaway.
MAC Cosmetics Spiked Eybrows ($18) – Ok, stop the presses! This former MAC employee cannot believe MAC is in my Boxycharm. It shows how much the beauty industry has changed in recent years – not a bad thing at all! I do love this brow pencil and will get lots of use out of it.
ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip ($6) – I will never refuse a ColourPop product and love this neutral pink.
Studio Makeup Loose Blush ($35) – A pretty peach shade that I’ll enjoy using. It’s swatched here next to Spiked and the ColourPop lip color.
bareMinerals Face Perfecting Brush ($28) – Another stop the presses moment! I’ve wanted to try this brush for forever, so definitely thrilled to see it in this Boxycharm.
Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Mask ($20) – My curls do need some TLC, so I’ll enjoy using this mask.
My Final Thoughts: The total value of the September 2017 Boxy Baddie Boxycharm box is $141 – sweet deal! I’m definitely keeping my Boxycharm subscription for a while to come – the value for the products you receive is excellent.
