By Sheila Arkee

When you are the possessor of wildly curly hair, you welcome products that help make the straightening products that much easier. Blowout Beauty Anti-Frizz Volume Boost Treatment Oil entered my life over the Summer and it’s been smooth sailing ever since.

Blowout Beauty Anti-Frizz Volume Boost Treatment Oil

Considering the amount of sheer torment my curly hair endured in the name of sleek, straight locks during my teenage years, it’s interesting that I rarely take it to a flat iron as an adult.  Time is my number one reason for avoiding flat ironing my hair, so when this oil from Blowout Beauty entered my life, I was immediately intrigued.

Whether my hair is curly or straight, frizz is a huge problem, so I’m always welcome to products that will help eliminate flyaway hair. And, while my hair is blessed with curls, the texture itself is fine, which means my hair can look limp after its been flat ironed.

After using Blowout Beauty Anti-Frizz Volume Boost Treatment Oil for hair straightening, I found my hair to remain smooth and free of frizz, giving my hair some nice body that did not revert back to its curly status. This oil is a great heat protector and a little bit goes a long way. I use a bit on my hair before I flat iron it and then a bit right after and I find my hair is shiny, frizz-free, and overall looking great.

One warning, the second ingredient in this oil is dimethicone, which could be a concern for those of us who have sensitivities to silicone-based products. Since I don’t straighten my hair every day or even every week, this has not been an issue for me.

Hair Straight

Here’s a quick video showing you how I straighten my hair – I did find that this serum helps cut down on the flat ironing time!

My Final Thoughts: Enhanced with nourishing Acai, Argan, Kukui Nut and Avocado Oils, the Blowout Beauty Anti-Frizz Volume Boost Treatment Oil is my new BFF on the days I take my hair from wooly and wild to sleek and smooth. If your hair is sensitive to silicone you might take caution, but I have not experienced problems with sporadic use.

I try to avoid silicone because my hair is just too thin and getting it out is a pain.

If I can, I try to avoid silicone… but I haven’t added much heat to my hair in years and only once a few months back… so I’ve noticed my natural curls are doing great. I love your curly hair though you look gorgeous here too 🙂

I used to have my hair chemically relaxed, but now I mostly embrace my curls. I do want to flat iron it now and then, but the frizz is a real problem! I need to try this.
