Hello, lovely readers, and welcome to the latest beauty news round up here on Painted Ladies.
This day started off on a sad note. One of my son’s great grandmothers passed away 9 days shy of her 95th birthday. She’d been in declining health for many years, so it’s not unexpected, but still a very sad time.
She was given the name Cleopatra by her parents, then chose to go by the name Clara and later Clair. She was a widow of many years spoke lovingly of her late husband who was her childhood sweetheart. They literally ran away to get married at age 18 and caused quite a scandal among their family! The daughter of Greek immigrants, she learned English by playing with neighborhood friends. She remained active in her widowhood and raised two kids while working for USC and then American Airlines. In her later years she depended on her daughter – my mother-in-law – for care. Witnessing the devotion on the part of my mother-in-law truly showed me what unconditional love is all about. I know Yia Yia Clara is in heaven and reunited with her husband, two children she miscarried, her parents, and loving friends and family.
Now, on to a look at what was up on Painted Ladies over the last week.
I shamelessly bought the ColourPop x Iluvsarahii Through My Eyes Pressed Powder Shadow Palette for one specific color.
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is my oily skin’s best friend.
I reunited with MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15, and yes, it’s good!
The Ordinary Caffeine Solution isn’t my favorite!
Here’s to a blessed, beauty-full and abundant week ahead!
