Hello, and welcome to another edition of Bits, Bobs and Beauty News. This is a weekly roundup of happenings around the beauty world and here on Painted Ladies.
While this isn’t exactly beauty related, I have to share the most epic mommy fail I’ve experienced yet! When I picked my son up from his after school care program, I noticed his jeans were falling off of his waist a little more than usual. I was so puzzled until I looked at the label and came to the realization I’d thrown him my jeans instead of his that morning! Ha ha! Mommy realness right there! His teacher thought it was a matter of him growing into those jeans.
We had two big losses in the beauty industry this week – one was Jean Ford, the co-founder of Benefit Cosmetics and the other was Brandon Truaxe, the creator of The Ordinary skincare brand. May they both rest in peace.
Now that we’re firmly past the holiday season and on our way to Valentine’s Day, I thought it was interesting when I learned that there are no new Sweetheart conversation hearts this year due to a change in ownership.
Speaking of Valentine’s Day, if you’re looking for gifting ideas I have to give props to the Ardent Rose Eau De Parfum by Roses For Autism. It’s a lovely scent that benefits work programs for individuals with Autism!
This week on Painted Ladies I shared my Blue Monday January 2019 Beauty Favorites, including the fantastic Trader Joe’s Rose Water Facial Toner (keeping on theme).
A little Sweetheart Eyeshadow Inspiration For Valentine’s Day.
I love loose powder! It’s essential to my makeup routine, and I shared my favorite application tips in How To Apply Loose Powder.
ColourPop It’s My Pleasure Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is absolutely stunning. I love that it’s just $12!
And, here are two fun eyeshadow looks with the ColourPop It’s My Pleasure Shadow Palette.
Here’s to a blessed, beauty-full and abundant week ahead!
