Hello, my lovely beauty friends, and welcome to this week’s blog roundup and look at other beauty related posts.
Last week I shared some of the skincare products from Alpha Skin Care that I’ve been using over the past few weeks. I’m truly impressed with the skin clearing results and will continue to use them because they’re that good! The body lotion? It’s done wonders for my flaky legs!
This week I konmari’d a ton of makeup and beauty products that had been sitting around and clogging up my life. Clogging! It was positively enlightening to throw out things that should have been thrown out years ago and also pass things on to friends.I still haven’t watched the Netflix series about konmari founder Marie Kondo, though I’ve heard many raves from friends.
I’ve been doing the same thing on the blog, as well, going back through the past 9.5 years of posts and deleting things that are non-relevant and, frankly, taking up too much server space. There was a time when I didn’t size down photos and it took up tons of space! Horrors! Here’s to room to grow!
I did watch Sebastian Maniscalco’s new special Stay Hungry on Netflix and it had me roaring with laughter. He is truly one of the funniest comics I’ve ever seen. If you’ve never seen his routine about the doorbell ringing 20 years ago versus today, you’re in for a treat. He’s hilarious.
My blogging friend Stef from We Heart This wrote an incredibly spot on post about blogging in an influencer age.
This post from InStyle and direct sales affecting friendships is another spot on post that we can all relate to.
Now, on to the best of Painted Ladies from the past week.
L’Oreal Unlimited Mascara has the most interesting, unusual and intriguing packaging.
When it comes to blogging, I truly love publishing tutorials. In this one, I shared Ingredients for the Perfect Introductory Eyeshadow Kit.
Here’s an overview of the new Urban Decay Street Style Brows products.
And here’s a tutorial showing you how I use the Urban Decay Street Style Brows on my own eyebrows.
I’m giving away a copy of the truly informative The Good Doctor’s Guide To Colds & Flu by Neil Schachter, MD along with a $50 Sephora Gift Card.
In other news, I’m working on allowing myself to dream big. You hear that all over the place, especially this time of year. But what does that mean, exactly? I’ve been on autopilot in so many areas of my life for so long that I don’t even know what it means to dream big! How do you allow yourself to dream big?
Here’s to a blessed, beauty-full and abundant week ahead!
