From neutrals to colorful, from warm tones to cool, there’s zero doubt I’m an eyeshadow palette lover through and through. Similarly speaking, from budget friendly to mid-range and higher-end, I love eyeshadow palettes on all sides of the price spectrum. You might call me an equal opportunity eyeshadow palette lover!
What can I say, I really do love and enjoy using eyeshadow. It’s been my makeup thing since I started wearing makeup regularly 22 years ago and I have yet to reach a saturation point when it comes to acquiring new singles and palettes.
There were quite a few eyeshadow palettes that crossed my path in 2018, here are the ones I’ve enjoyed them most.
elf Cosmetics Modern Metals – This palette is a mix of matte and shimmery warm shades that are inspired by the architecture and colors of New Orleans. It’s a cheap treat that’s actually really nice and well worth the money.
Wet n Wild Bare Awakenings – Oh, Wet n Wild. Wet n Wild! This super budget friendly brand rarely goes wrong with their eyeshadow offerings and this palette rocks!
Viseart Golden Sunset – I pined for this higher end eyeshadow palette for quite some time and finally indulged when it was on sale at Sephora. Viseart shadows are definitely up there price wise, but so worth it in terms of superb color payoff and finely milled eyeshadows.
Huda Beauty Emerald Obsessions – The Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes get mixed reviews in terms of the consistency of the eyeshadows. I have to say I’m pleased with this mix of green shadows and have my eyes on the purple palette.
BareMinerals Copper – I’d heard so many great things about the BareMinerals eyeshadow palettes and am glad to report those raves are on target. What an exceptional quality these shadows have to offer!
ColourPop Disney Designer Eyeshadow Palette – For $20 this palette is a win, win, win! And not just for the packaging design, which is so darling.
ColourPop x Karruech Brown Sugar – I’m glad I ordered this warm palette of pleasing neutrals, because the quality of the shadows is on point!
Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette – In 2018 we bid farewell to the original Urban Decay Naked palette, and I have to say this is a very pleasing replacement, especially for those of us who love berry toned eyeshadows.
Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne Collection – I’m a little sad this was a limited collection, because the two palettes in the set were fantastic in terms of the color selections.
