Oh, my word. This compact is divine. I do appreciate fine product packaging, and this is a winner. From the generous mirror to the metal outer packaging, this is a piece I want to keep on display.
There are 4 highlighter/blush splits from the super successful collaboration between Becca Cosmetics and YouTube beauty guru extraordinaire Jaclyn Hill. I chose the combination of Hyacinth and Champagne Pop because I love the way you can blend down a bold, bright blush to make it look like a completely natural flush – a beauty trick I first learned from one of Kevyn Aucoin’s books!
Now, there’s been some talk that the Champagne Pop that was in the larger Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette that was release earlier this year isn’t quite the same as the regular Champagne Pop that is in it’s own compact and in the split pans. Now that I own two separate Champagne Pop products, I decided to see what, if any, difference exists.
On the left are the swatches from the Hyacinth/Champagne Pop duo, and on the very right is the Champagne Pop duo. There is definitely a slight variation in the color, but I don’t think it’s that significant of a difference. The texture of the highlighter in the duo is definitely a bit smoother, though.
