Beauty Product Thankfulness List 2018
On the eve on Thanksgiving 2018, it seems only fitting to take a look at my most commonly used products these days and pay homage. These are the makeup and skincare items that keep this lady’s beauty game going! The Beauty Product Thankfulness List 2018 includes trusted standby’s, holy grails and a couple of newer products that have more recently entered the realm of my most beloved goodies.
In a time when beauty trend come and go at lightning speed (right?), old faithful products are certainly treasures! I’ve purchased and repurchased the products on this list and while I’m surely leaving out a few, these are by and large products that have proved themselves and then some.
Lush Cosmetics Lemony Flutter – I owe Lush a DEBT of gratitude for helping to revitalize and revive my tired, dry cuticles. After yearning for this cuticle cream, I finally purchased it and have two jars going at a time, one for my purse and one for home. The jars last for months, making them an entirely great deal.
Stila Convertible Cream Colors – These cream blushes are some of the best I’ve ever used. They last all day on my oily skin and are so perfect on those days I just want to throw something on my cheeks for some color and go!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – Why do you have to be so great Double Wear? This not only gives great, buildable and natural coverage, it’s also oily skin friendly and available in a wide range of color options.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils – The name of my beauty game is products that stay put and don’t fade away. These liners not only accomplish that, they glide on so easily on my maturing eyelids and there are nearly 50 colors to choose from.
LXMI Pure Nilotica Melt – This luxurious cream not only soothes skin from head to toe, it smells incredible. And it’s all natural – no artificial fragrances included! I use this cream on my son’s skin and it helps his dry areas so well
Avon Anew Clinical Unlimited Lashes– This lash enhancing serum truly works and I’m so happy with the results my lashes have achieved. I’ll be posting a follow up to my 5-week post soon
Cinema Secrets Powder Puffs – There’s nothing like using a large powder puff to finish your makeup with translucent powder and these puffs are THE BEST. Seriously, I’ve had mine over a year, have put them to work, throw them in with the rest of my laundry, and they are like new.
Sephora Mini Solid Brush Cleanser – I’m so happy I purchased this during the recent Sephora Beauty Insider sale because a) I was not happy with any of my brush cleaning options and b) this works so well to keep mine squeaky clean and soft, c) it comes with a mini silicone scrubby pad I keep in the lid of the jar while I’m cleaning my brushes.
Domed Eyeshadow Brushes – domed eyeshadow brushes are the KEY to getting a well blended eyeshadow application and I own many. My latest is from Hakuhodo, a very high end makeup brush line from Japan. I have decided that my goal is to invest in luxury makeup brushes and will make them a treat to save up to. There really is nothing like a fine brush to erase all memories of scratchy cheap brushes.
Dr Brandt No More Baggage – You guys, this eye cream is a life changer. It works SO WELL to draw in under eye bags and I really can’t get over it.
Wet n Wild ColorIcon Eyeshadows – Proving that budget friendly isn’t a bad thing, Wet n Wild consistently comes out with excellent shadows that are well under $5 – I mean, you can’t lose with their shadows!
L’Oreal Voluminous Feline – Bar none the best mascara I’ve ever used and a bargain, to boot! Nothing makes my lashes look more lush and voluminous!
ColourPop No Filter Sheer Pressed Powder – Just $5 and one of THE best pressed powders I’ve ever used, seriously. I’m really loving this powder and use it with the Cinema Secret puffs!
What are some of your beauty holy grails?
