When art and beauty collide, the results are pretty spectacular, as is the case with ArtOnIt Makeup. I recently had the opportunity to try some gorgeous products from ArtOnIt, and my overall view of this line can be summed up as follows: Wow!!!
I first learned about ArtOnIt Makeup several months ago when I ran a blog series called Painted Ladies Presents. ArtOnIt’s creator, Sergio Escalona, contacted me to be part of the series and he shared his beauty philosophy and what went in to creating this line.
Sergio has put his passion for the beauty industry along with years of experience working with prestige beauty brands into his own cosmetics. Plus, his own art adorns the packaging, adding a special personalized touch to his designs.
Having been involved in the beauty industry for a significant number of years, I can separate the good from the “meh” pretty quickly, and can genuinely declare that ArtOnIt Makeup is more than good, it’s great! I tried four luxury cosmetic items from ArtOnIt Makeup:
- Artsy Compact Les Chromatiques in Music Box ($65)
- Lipstick in People ($25)
- Blush in Be Good ($24)
- Le Stylo Art Beaute Yeux in Cat Noir ($27)
Accompanied by a velvet pouch, Les Chromatiques in Music Box offers four eyeshadows in a beautifully designed brushed metal compact.
At $65, the price tag is up there, but the results from these shadows are worth it – and then some!
Besides the gorgeous packaging you’ll want to show off, the pigmentation is really out of this world. I could gush for several sentences on how impressed I am, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Seriously, these shadows are really something special.
The lipstick in People is a deep pink that is all sorts of creamy goodness.
Offering a blast of color in a metal bullet, the packaging brings to mind old school style with new fangled moisture and pigmentation.
Be Good Blush is my new go-to, a lovely shimmery pink that gives high color payoff and long wearing results.
If blush still remains on my normal-to-oily cheeks after a long day, it’s surely a winner, and Be Good passes that test!
When it comes to liquid liners, you need one that is intense and easy to apply. ArtOnIt’s take on the liner pen passes on both accounts, offering a felt tipped pen and product that dries quickly – a huge plus!
Can you see why I’m so gaga over these products? Here’s a quick tutorial showing you how I used the Music Box shadows to create rainbow eyes.
My Final Thoughts: From the beautifully designed packaging to the highly pigmented product, ArtOnIt Cosmetics is a splurge-worthy and expertly crafted line of luxury beauty products. Sergio, you have totally impressed me and I’m enjoying using and having my ArtOnIt beauty items on display!
Price: $24 – $65
Gluten-free? Yes. The lipstick and liner both contain Tocopherol.
