Lip pencils are such a great product for people (self included) who are always on the go with rarely a moment to make sure their makeup is in place. If you are a busy individual, your makeup has to perform, no questions asked, and that’s why lip pencils are a must have.
When I came across Milani’s Lip Flash Full Coverage Lip Pencils, I had to find out if they were in any way comparable or greater than Revlon’s Just Bitten Balm Stains. Revlon’s version of the pencil lipstick/gloss is unbeatable in my book, but it’s always worth giving a new product the good old beauty blogger try.
While Revlon’s lip pencil is full coverage and feels like a lip gloss, I find that Milani’s version is more akin to a full coverage lipstick. I chose Flash Light, which is a gorgeous, shimmery yellow-based red that wears well, requiring only minor touch ups.
Being a gloss lover, I have to admit that I prefer the light texture and appearance of Revlon’s Just Bitten Balm over Milani’s Lip Flash. However, if you are a fan of lipstick over gloss, you’ll probably really like Milani Lip Flash Full Coverage Lip Pencils, which are available in 8 shades for $6.99 at CVS stores and online.

I never find new Milani, it’s so frustrating since I’d like to review some of their newer items. I like that color on you by the way.
Thanks, Marcia – that’s the downside of drugstore lines. Sometimes it’s a pain to hunt them down!
Do you use a sharpener on the Milani lip pencils?
Yes, one of those dual sharpeners with one side for chubby pencils works just fine.
I need to try both this and the Revlon one.
And e.l.f. has some new ones I want to try, too!
