And Now For A Mascara I Love: CoverGirl Flamed Out

I Bought It

By Sheila Arkee

After rocking Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme almost exclusively for months, I’m on a mini Adventures in Mascara (part 3) that’s making up for lost time. And then some! Accompanying CoverGirl’s new Flamed Out collection is a  mascara that has rocked my world and brought LIFE to my lashes.

CoverGirl mascaras have generally been favorites through the years, and the new Flamed Out mascara is no exception.

With a curved brush and waterproof formula, this mascara is easy to apply and produces volumized, clump-free lashes, and is easy to remove. I’m not sure if there’s a certain technique to applying mascara with fancy wands, but I basically don’t have one!

What I like most about CoverGirl Flamed Out is that it is buildable and does not make your lashes get crunchy with applications – your lashes will look and feel good. In comparison, here’s another recent favorite mascara, L’Oreal Power Volume Collagen, which I find to be a little more lush and voluminous in comparison.

The verdict? CoverGirl Flamed Out Mascara offers volume, separation, and is a solid bargain mascara to try out. You can find Flamed Out at your local drugstote or where ever CoverGirl is sold.

I’ve just opened and used this mascara once; so far it’s just “ok” to me. I was much more impressed with clump crusher but we’ll see if this one improves with a bit of time 😀

I may give it a try. I didn’t like the green Clump Crusher: disliked the curved wand & the formula made my lashes too stiff. I don’t love waterproof mascara but I do wear it to the beach or on a humid day. Currently using essence Stays No Matter What, but I don’t like the small wand & your photo of the CG wand intrigues me. I like wands with a bulb at the tip to find my little lashes toward my inner eyes & lower lashes. This could be it :)

I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about Clump Crusher, but will have to see for myself.
