All About Beauty 360

Walking into a Beauty 360 for the first time last week , I was a) extremely impressed by the  modern design that shows off their cosmetics to perfection, b)  immediately greeted by friendly beauty consultants, and c) amazed by some of the brands this unique store contains as well as the fact that they offer facials and other salon services.

From Paula Dorf to Vincent Longo to Laura Gellar to Talika, there are many brands that you just can’t find elsewhere; combined with the convenience of locations (co-located with CVS stores) it’s truly a gem of a concept.

Recently, I had the chance to talk to the team behind the scenes of Beauty 360 for more about the stores.

Painted Ladies:  What was these idea behind the creation of Beauty 360? It’s unique to any mass drugstores.

Beauty 360:   Beauty 360 is the evolution of beauty at CVS/pharmacy.  It is the natural extension of our commitment to beauty.  We recognize that our beauty customer shops across channels and Beauty 360 provides her with access to prestige brands with the convenience of a CVS/pharmacy location.

Beauty 360 has four unique attributes: 
1.  The convenience we offer to our customers is unbeatable since each stand-alone beauty location is right next door to your regular CVS/pharmacy 
2.  We offer the right mix —edited selection -with a focus on the right prestige brands—to have an offering for each of our customers. 
3. The experience. These stores are interactive in everyway— uniquely offering express services such as mini-facials, polish changes and make-overs.
4. Finally, the service component.  The stores are staffed by trained teams of Beauty Consultants focused on helping customers find exactly what they need.  We also have licensed professionals such as aestheticians for our service offerings. 

Painted Ladies: How do you go about choosing the products that you carry?

Beauty 360: We offer an edited selection of prestige and niche beauty and grooming brands from around the world.   They are chosen by our Beauty 360 team and we look for products and brands that are high quality and have a point of difference. 

Painted Ladies: What can a customer expect when they book a facial with you?

Beauty 360: Beauty 360 offers a 30-minute facial and 45-minute facial. A 30-minute facial includes a skin cleansing and steaming; an exam with magnification and light to identify and address any skin conditions and/or problems; mask application and depending on the person a serum, eye cream and moisturizer is applied.  In the 45-minute facial, the customer also receives extractions (after the skin exam) and a light facial massage.

Painted Ladies: As far as choosing the correct products and colors, are all of the staff members at Beauty 360 qualified to help out customers with those concerns?

Beauty 360: The stores are staffed by trained teams of Beauty Consultants who have expert knowledge across all brands and are focused on helping customers find exactly what they need.  This ensures that every customer receives a high level of service and will be able to find exactly what she needs and is looking for.   Customers are able to experience products and test them before making a purchase.  Our goal is to surpass our customer’s expectations in terms of service and the knowledge that we can lend to her shopping experience.

    I’ve never been to one of these because there are none in my area. There are a couple of CVS stores about 20 miles away, but no Beauty 360s. I shouldn’t be surprised. There’s no Sephora around here either. We were probably lucky to get Ulta.

    Aw, I’m sorry! I used to live an hour away from a Sephora – pure torture!
