In recent times the divide between drugstore and prestige beauty brands has changed quite a bit. It’s lessening and in many cases, I’d have to say beauty products you can easily find at Target, Walmart or any mass retail outlet are on par with cosmetics at department stores, Ulta or Sephora. In my experience, Pixi Beauty is one of those brands that bridges the gap and then some.
Pixi Beauty is cruelty-free and is what I’d call a mid-range brand. The prices aren’t as low as Wet n Wild or even items you’ll find from Maybelline and CoverGirl. The prices are a tad bit higher, but the quality sure speaks to the slightly higher costs. I’ve been a fan of Pixi for several years now and love that their skincare and makeup products are so easy to find at Target and online. There’s even a freestanding store in Los Angeles that’s on my “must see” list.
Pixi makes so many great skincare and makeup products and it was challenging to narrow the list down. Here are six standout products that I truly recommend.
Pixi Glow Tonic – This is a 5% glycolic acid toner that works exceptionally well to sweep dead skin cells from your skin. It works very well and is a personal holy grail skincare item.
Pixi Beauty Jasmine Oil Blend – Not only does this oil smell fantastic, it doesn’t irritate my normal to oily skin. I use it as my final step in my nightly skincare routine and love that it adds moisture that doesn’t clog my pores.
Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duo Highlighers – These highlighters are some of the best I’ve ever seen. I love that they’re finely milled and so easy to blend.
Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lips – Beeswax is the key ingredient that makes these long wearing liquid lip colors so comfortable. Soooo comfortable. You gotta try these for sure.
Pixi Eyeshadow – The quality of their eyeshadow palettes is A+. The palette featured in these photos is from an influencer collaboration in 2018 and I’m infinitely impressed with the color payoff of these shadows.
Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights – Ooh, these liquid glitter eyeshadows are exceptional! I really love the fact that they stay put and are so vibrant. They’re dupes for Stila’s much pricier versions.
Okay, there’s a SEVENTH option to this list that I couldn’t leave out, which are Pixi’s Endless Silky Eye Pens – dupes for Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils! The color range isn’t as vast as Urban Decay’s but the quality is right up there.
