My fellow oily skinned individuals! It’s time to spill our skincare secrets – Summer means extra care and attention must be paid to sebum production.
No joke, I’m always thinking about ways to help my skin from gleaming all the live long day. I’ve added a few new products to my repertoire since my last oily skin post – here’s the rundown.
10% Niacinamide – I was put on to the powers of this skincare product from fellow beauty lovers. Found in a serum form, it really does help to improve the appearance of pores and keep sebum production down. I’ve been using a serum by The Ordinary and will now check out the Paula’s Choice version I shared earlier this week. Just make sure to keep away from products with Vitamin C when you use Niacinamide – combined they can cause a skin reaction!
At $9 for a pan, ColourPop No Filter Sheer Matte Pressed Powder is a budget friendly win. I adore this effective powder. Two heads ups – it doesn’t come with a powder puff and you’ll have to either buy a compact separately or place the pan in a magnetic palette.
Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Powder is another excellent pressed powder. It works wonders and even keeps my oily skin in check on the most humid days.
I also love SPF loose powders that come with built in brushes like this one from Derma E. Sun protection plus mattification = one satisfied oily skinned customer.
There was a time I had my doubts about setting sprays, and I can’t understand why. Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray helps lock your makeup into place and that’s no joke.
