As much as I love to spend a good half hour blending various eye shadows until I get the perfect depth, I also love to sleep in and throw together a “5 Minute Eye”.
However, just because I want something fast doesn’t mean I want boring makeup! A 5 Minute Eye could be mascara and a little eyeliner, but maybe you want some pizzazz. I am always looking for new products that are dual purposed and interesting. Urban Decay has delivered!
As I mentioned in my blog about Cult Beauty products, Urban Decay’s Primer Potion is an excellent primer that will prevent eye shadow from creasing all day. The transparent original is a great, but you must try Primer Potion in Sin, a light frosted nude, and Eden, a yellow cream.
Perfect as a base or just on its own, tinted eye primers give the appearance of crème eye shadow without any of that slippery texture. The sparkle in Sin will also transform any matte shadow into a shimmery version when added on top. I loved it by itself, but just a tiny smudge of matte brown in the crease, and my eyes looked multi-dimensional.
Now instead of black eyeliner, why not throw in some color? (Like I said, we want pizzazz!) You can’t get much more vibrant color from an eyeliner pencil than Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils.
I love 24/7 pencils for how easily they are to apply, and how they stay put (the 24/7 lip liners are equally awesome and long-wearing). I first lined my bottom with El Dorado, a brand new bright gold shade that brought out the hazel in my blue eyes. On top, Electric! This Aqua Blue slid on effortlessly and took seconds for my neutral eye shadow (I mean, primer..) to go from simple to sassy.
Thank you Urban Decay, for a 5 Minute Eye that includes more than mascara!
