As we are creeping in to the Summer months (but isn’t it still January?), it’s safe to say that the heat is ON. The moment temperatures start to rise, I find myself becoming entirely dependent on my arsenal of products that will ensure that my face stays on my face … and that isn’t always an easy task!
Moisturizing BB creams as foundations? While I do appreciate a glow, it’s time to say “ta ta, toots!” because they only lead to oil slick central, and that’s not a good thing! Here are five products I depend on during heated months to keep my face looking fresh. I think you’ll love these, as well.
Here’s to cheap thrills! Yes, this works WONDERS for controlling oilies, and I found it even performs better than OC 8, which is sold for $$$$ versus $, which should really be half of a dollar sign because you can buy this straight at the dollar store.
Although this is certainly more pricey than the Milk of Magnesia trick, I actually really like this primer which you use before applying makeup. It reminds me of Benefit’s Dr. Feelgood, but so much more effective and with out a cloying fragrance.
This stuff is loooovely and it really, truly works so well, which I found to be a surprise. I was not expecting it to work at all – can you tell I’ve been disappointed before?
If you click on the link for Model in a Bottle, you’ll be directed to a post which details the fact that I used to use HAIR SPRAY to keep my makeup on my face. HAIR SPRAY! Thankfully we have Model in a Bottle which is so much more gentle and so much more effective and WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!
Since I don’t like getting powder puffs grimy with oil touch ups, I rely on blotting papers to keep me looking fresh. Mom confession of the day: my standard “blotting papers” are those brown, recycled napkins from fast food restaurants! They work! However, I do like frilly and luxurious items, so I keep Mai Couture blotting papers with me. These are blotting papers done right!
What are your favorite beauty products that beat the heat?
