365/365 Days of Eyeshadow

By Sheila Arkee

I did it.

We did it.

Never before on the world wide web (or anywhere else, for that matter) has a 365 Day of Eyeshadow project been attemtped, and here it is right before your very eyes (pun intended).

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started this 365 Days of Eyeshadow project because I wanted a challenge. I wanted something that would set Painted Ladies apart from the many other beauty blogs in existence. I wanted to start using up my arsenal of eyeshadows that I’ve collected through over a dozen years of using makeup.  More than anything, though, I simply love eyeshadow and this is one of many ways I express my artistic yearnings.

It wasn’t easy – being a mom (and a single mom at that) made the process a little bit challenging. As soon as I sit down my son loves to come over and get into my business and then create a mess, but the show had to go on, even if it meant sacrificing a few shadows and liners along the way.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along to this point and to those who contributed!  A special shout out to the makeup companies who sent over products especially for this project.  The support from everyone has meant a tremendous amount to me, and I promise year 2 of the Painted Ladies 365 project will commence after a short hiatus. :)

Now, on with the show! You know I had to incorporate Sweet Libertine’s Thai Silk into this look. :)

Base: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

Inner Lid: MAC Retrospeck

Outer Lid: Sweet Libertine Thai Silk

Outer Corner: NYX Midnight

Browbone: MAC Gesso

Liner (upper lid): Hourglass Script Precision Liner

Liner (lower lid): Lavera Black Liner
