Whether they’re matte, shimmery, satin, a little lighter or a little darker, there’s no question that beige-toned eyeshadows are ubiquitous in nearly every makeup palette and in every eyeshadow line you’ll come across. I have a beige, you have a beige. So much beige!
I am all about multi-tasking and also love hacks. In that light, I’m presenting to you a beauty tutorial featuring beauty hacks that show you multiple ways to use all of those beige eyeshadows we have in our lives. So, when I say “beige”, what I’m referring to are the lighter colors on the side of the eyeshadow spectrum. Could they be better classified as “off white” or even “white”? Perhaps, but for simplicities sake, let’s call them all “beige”.
In the event you don’t have a beige eyeshadow in your life, I have one suggestion that’s appropriate for a wide marray of skin tones and doesn’t cost more than $1! It’s Wet n Wild single eyeshadow in Brulee. This matte eyeshadow is so smooth, so easy to use and is the perfect light eyeshadow to use for one of the variety of purposes I’m about to show you.
1 – Get Your Highlight On!
Yes! Use either a matte or shimmery beige to highlight the center of your nose, the tops of your cheekbones, the middle of your forehead and right on top of your lips on the cupid’s bow. If you’re really feeling a glow, mix a bit of shimmery eyeshadow in with your foundation for an overall subtle glow.
2 – Plump Up Your Lips
Adding a lighter color eyeshadow to the middle of your lips (after you’ve applied lip color) is a tried and true way of giving the illusion of fuller lips. It really does make a difference!
3 – Enhance Your Inner Tear Duct
One of my all time favorite eyeshadow application tips is to place a shimmery color right on the inner tearduct of your eye. It’s a tip from Kevyn Aucoin I’ve used for years and it really does add to the eye makeup experience.
