Hello, lovely readers, and welcome to a colorful and fun day here on Painted Ladies featuring the three brand new Urban Decay On The Run Mini Eyeshadow Palettes. I shared the details and swatches on these palettes yesterday and today I’ll be sharing three new makeup looks I created with each of the palettes: Detour, Bailout and Shortcut.
Before I get started with the eyeshadow looks, I want to get into more of my thoughts about the palettes that are $25 each and available at Sephora. In yesterdays post I mentioned that they remind me of the Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes- they’re portable and contain bright bursts of color! I will say that I favor the texture of these shadows above the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes – each of the shadows in the Urban Decay On The Run Mini Eyeshadow Palettes are smooth sailing and don’t have that dimethicone-y, slick texture that’s found in the Huda Beauty palettes.
For the look featuring the Urban Decay On The Run Mini Eyeshadow Palette in detour, I used Confidential in the crease of my eyelid, with Plunge on the inner part of my lid, 16th St. on the middle of my lid and Switchback on the outer part of my lid. Plunge and Switchback are on my lower lids, as well. On my browbone is Off The Grid. My eyelids are lined with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Smoke. In each photo I’m wearing Avon Love At First Lash Mascara.
This look features the Urban Decay On The Run Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Shortcut. I used Shortcut in my crease, Gash (and old school favorite) on the outer part of my lid and Rendezvous on the outer crease. Zone is patted on the inner corner of my lid and Sin is on the browbone. The look is finished with Afterhours as the liner applied with an angled brow brush – and it is one gorgeous color!
As a purple eyeshadow aficionado I have to tell you I’m sincerely digging the Urban Decay On The Run Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Bailout for that purple in the lower right hand corner. It’s glorious! For this look I placed Faith in the crease and Double Up in the outer corner. Vice is on my inner lid and Pickup is on the very inner corner. Skimp is on my browbone and Chopper is on the lower lid. The look is finished with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Whiskey.
I have to say, these are fantastic shadow palettes. I love the color payoff and textures and will definitely enjoy creating with them. Enoy!
