When it’s the real thing, you just know! And that’s the deal with the stunning Shayla x ColourPop Perception Pressed Powder Palette that I shared with you earlier this week.
This 16 pan palette won my heart and then some, and so it goes that I’m using this palette filled with richly pigmented colors to have some/a lot of makeup fun.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this palette, because I was a bit let down by the last ColourPop palette I purchased, which was the My Little Pony collaboration. Thankfully the Shayla x ColourPop Perception palette makes up for that disappointment and then some! These colors are all easy to work with and show up beautifully. Now let’s get down with some fun makeup break downs!
The first look is one I featured in the original review post. I have to say the green in the second row of the palette, I.E., I just delicious. Really, delicious. What a gorgeous golden-gold. I used Kat Von D Lolita Eyeshadow as my blush, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper and Pat McGrath Luxetrance Lipstick in Donatella.
For the second look I felt the need for a smokey brown eye paired with a gorgeous red lip. On my cheeks I used Cheap Shot as my blush and Party Foul for the highlight from the Urban Decay Backtalk Palette. The eyeliners are Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liners in Torch (lower lid) and Demolition (upper lid). The lip color is ColourPop Lux Lipstick in On Display.
I just couldn’t resist the delicious denim blue in this palette and featured it prominently with Titus, the gunmetal grey in the very top layer. My son is currently obsessed with the name Titus, so I was happy to see it there! For the eyeliner I layered Stallion, the black/blue/glitter from the first level, on top of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Zero applied with a slanted eyeliner brush. The lip color is ColourPop Lux Lipstick in Lay Over with Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Gloss in Midnight Cowboy on top.
Enjoy! This palette is currently in stock on ColourPop.com and a great deal at $23!
