So, I was recently at the park with my son when I happened upon one of the most gorgeously colored ducks I’ve ever seen. Seriously, look at this beautiful creature!
I hope I did the duck justice with today’s look, inspired by its beautifully colored feathers. Thank you to Wendy for sugguesting the eyeshadow colors!

Absolutely beautiful! And quite possibly the BEST blending job I have EVER seen! Seamless. Gorgeous. Perfect.
Wow! Wow! This is gorgeous! I think the duck would approve
Sort of off-topic, but I had been looking for those darn Wet N Wild 8-pans. Finally found them on Friday when I was in a different part of town and decided to swing by the Walgreens there. Awesome! I ended up getting the one with the blues and the one with the greens/browns. I decided not to get the purples, but there was an empty slot for the 8-pan of…pinks? I don’t think I’ve seen you feature that one here?
I think you did Mr. Duck justice!
Thank you, ladies! S- I wasn’t feeling the purples in the palette, so it had to stay in the store! I will forever be chained to NYX’s Velvet Rope palette, which has some of the prettiest purples evah!
I believe that is a Cayuga duck. I have two of them myself, and they are beautiful. The one pictured is a drake (male), you can tell from his green head and from the little curl on his tail. When you hear him quack, it would also sound different from the females.
Also, the eyeshadow is beautiful and inspiring. I love the idea of taking ideas from nature. Who doesn’t want to be naturally beautiful?
I had no idea what type of duck that was, thank you, Colette! Why do they have the curl on the tail? It it just a way of differnentiating the sex?
