Purple eyeshadow, how I love thee. Sigh.
Back when I was a 17 year old high school graduate (15 years ago – bah!!!) my parents gifted me with my first makeup set, a cheapie kit from JC Penny that included a bunch of colors. Not the best quality, but it allowed me to experiment with colors, and get a feel for eyeshadow application techniques.
The kit is long gone, but I remember wearing the HECK out of a bright purple color, with orange lipstick. Don’t judge. I loved the way the purple highlighted my brown eyes,and I still love it to this very day.

Soft and romantic, great for brown eyes, and done well (so it doesn’t look like a bruise!). Ah, purple – always one of my favorites.
The line between bruise and cute is a thin one!
