Earlier this week I interviewed a fantabulous makeup artist for an upcoming feature, and something he told me simply blew my mind. He rarely uses shimmery eyeshadow. Rarely. He says that it’s pretty, but not wearable for many, and he finds that mattes and velvets lend to an airbrushed look on the lids.
As the queen of shimmer, this rocked my world, because as you can tell I’m addicted to the gleam. It’s important, though, to expand your horizons, and I’ll included more mattes/velvets in my daily looks.
