A few years ago I attended a few Master Classes at a MAC Pro store. If you’ve never been, they’re pretty interesting affairs. Definitely great opportunities to pick up some new makeup tricks and meet well-known makeup artists, which for makeup junkies like me is akin to a 12 year old girl meeting Justin Bieber.
At one such event, the artists used a pair of brown lashes on the model. Although the model had dark hair, the brown lashes added a bit of fullness to the overall look. Of course I had to buy the lashes!

Lashes: MAC Pro (seems to be discontinued, but e.l.f. sells similar ones for $1!)

I had no idea MAC ever made brown lashes :O nor had I ever considered using them!
